Savoy Music Center hosts an acoustic jam session every Saturday morning, beginning at 9 in the A.M., and jamming until noon. All are invited to join in, no permission or approval is needed, but they ask only one thing... Please, no more than ONE triangle player at a time. If you're wondering how to find the music center, just look for thirty cars lined up Hwy. 190 between Eunice and Lawtell.
Fred's Lounge offers live Cajun music every Saturday morning from 9:15 am until 1:30. Doors open at 8 am. Live Radio Broadcast on KVPI at 10:50AM. Fred's has been a popular saturday morning hang out since the 1950s. Visited by travellers all over the world for its popularity and drinking at 8 am! It is a great place to have a good time.
The home of the "Rendez-Vous des Cajuns" Radio Show, the Liberty Center for the Performing Arts, located at the corner of South 2nd Street and Park Avenue, is a 1924 vaudeville/movie house which was purchased by the City of Eunice and renovated through a community project. The theater is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and haslibertydrawingsmnm been included in the Great American Movie Theaters Preservation Press Guide published by the Smithsonian. Shows are on Saturdays from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM.
